Read the entire storyI’m sure most, if not all, teachers would agree that it’s NOT poring over test score data and starting the inevitable test prep routine. I’m fairly certain that most, if not all, teachers would agree that in the first few weeks of school, the emphasis should instead be on establishing a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment where students are engaged and enthusiastic about what they’re learning.

Read the entire storyThe OEA Bargaining Team, with staff and OEA president Betty Olson-Jones, met with the OUSD team for four hours this afternoon. (Our team caucused for some time both before and after the negotiating sesion.)
Superintendent Tony Smith was present with his team for the first hour and a half. He has changed the OUSD Bargaining Team– it now consists of Troy Christmas (Labor Relations), Vernon Hal (CFO), Jacqueline Minor (General Counsel)
